Funeral services were held at the Morris-Spellman Chapel in Yuma with Rev. Gene Krinn officiating. Interment was made in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery northeast of Yuma. Felix Spelts Jr. was born on a farm northeast of Yuma to Felix and Mattie Spelts. He was one of 14 children born to this union. As a youth he lived in the Yuma area. In 1935 he was joined in marriage to Lois Zwirn and they had three sons. In the mid 40's he and his family moved to Haxtun where he was employed as a farmer. Later he was employed by the telephone company until a severe accident caused him to be confined to a nusring home in Wray for the past 13 years. He is survived by three sons, Ike, Pete and Cliff; four brothers, three sisters and four grandchildren.
