Know ye that I Benjamin Baker of ye Town & County of Fairfield & Colony of Connecticut for ye Consideration of ye Naturall Love and Affection I have & bear to my Son Joshua Baker of Said Fairfield & as part of Portion of my Estate Do give grant and Confirm unto the Said Joshua Baker & to his heirs & Assigns for ever these parcells of Land Lying in s’d Fairfield viz: four Acres of Land within fence bounded Northerly & Westerly on Highway Easterly on Land of Sam’l Couch and Southerly on my other Land: Also two Acres of my Land that Lyes Next Southerly of ye s’d four Acres & is to Extend from West to East So far as ye afores’d four Acres & to run down Southerly So far as to make Said two Acres bounded Northerly on ye afores’d four Acres Westerly on Highway Southerly on my other Land and Easterly on my other Land: Also one third part of my Salt Meadow Lying in said Fairfield Southerly of my Dwelling House …… To Have & To Hold ye above granted premises with ye appurtenances thereof unto him the Said Joshua Baker his heirs & Assigns for ever to his & their own proper use & behoof.
