A, 28th Conn., son of Joseph Bouton. He was left in the hospital at Brashear City, with eighteen other sick soldiers of the regiment, May 23, 1863, as the regiment started up the river. He died, there, on the 7th of the following month. He was a victim, doubtless, to the miserable quarters which our soldiers found on the muddy flats of that locality. He left a wife and two children.
