Stamford Soldiers' Memorial 1869
  MORRIS CARROLL, Co. G, 10th Conn., wounded at Drury's Bluff, May 13, 1864.
Both hands were badly shattered, and he refused to have them amputated. He died
in the hospital in New Haven, July 28, 1864, aged nineteen.
