LOCKWOOD, brother of James L., making three sons of Sherman Lockwood, who volunteered for the service, enlisted with his brother Andrew into Co. A, 28th Conn. Falling a prey to the fever of the Mississippi Valley, he was left at the hospital at Memphis, Aug. 13th, and died there, Sept. 9, 1863.
