A, 28th Conn., son of George and Honora Rosborough. was wounded at Port Hudson, June 14, 1863, by a ball which reached his heart, but without killing him. In attempting to escape from guerillas, while on his way to the hospital, at Baton Rouge, he was attacked by a sudden and fatal hemorrhage and died at the hospital July 11,1863, at the age of twenty-four years. He left behind him the memory of a genial, generous-hearted young man, and his war record was that of a good soldier and a patriot citizen.
