SEELY, Co. D, 6th Conn., son of Thomas Seely, was wounded at Fort Wagner in 1863, and taken prisoner, Jan. 17, 1864, with so many of his comrades near Bermuda Hundred, and sent to Andersonville. After his release, while on the Baltic, he died before reaching Hilton Head, where he was buried.
