B, 28th Conn., like so many other of his comrades after the exposures on the Mississippi flats, during the summer of 1863, gave out on the way home, and was left in the hospital at Buffalo, where he died, Aug. 19, 1863, leaving here a wife and two children, of whom the wife and one child died soon after his death.
