Stamford Soldiers' Memorial 1869
  WM. H. WALTON, Co. B, 28th Conn., son of Darius Walton, was another victim of
the exposures of the Mississippi Valley. He died in the New Orleans Barracks
Hospital, June 16, 1863, leaving here a family. Two of his children have found
timely care and instruction in Fitch's Home in Darien.
