Stamford Soldiers' Memorial 1869
  GEORGE A. YOUNGS, Co. K, 8th New York artillery, died in Calver Hospital,
Washington, D. C., from disease contracted in the service. His funeral was
attended here, Oct. 12, 1864, in the Baptist Church. He was a young man held in
high esteem, both for his intelligence and for his excellent social qualities.
