Ridgefield, Danbury Probate District, 1812, #4661:
     Will of Zachariah Stevens of Ridgefield, dated Aug. 5, 1811, proved Aug. 
17, 1812: to wife Sarah, her thirds plus 1/2 all the bedding, etc. that she has 
made since our marriage; to son Zachariah's eldest daughter, Catherine Stevens, 
1/2 the bedding, etc. that my present wife Sarah has made since our marriage 
together; to son Zachariah Stevens, use and improvement of 1/2 the estate, and, 
after his death, to his two eldest daughters, Catherine Stevens and her 
sister.  To my eldest daughter, Rachel Smith, 1/6; to my grandson, John Hewitt 
Jr., 1/6; to daughter Adah Carl, 1/6; to daughter Abigail Barberry, 1/6; to 
daughter Trial Hewitt, the use of 1/6 & after her death to her son William 
Hewitt.
     Distribution June 6, 1825: widow Sarah; grandson John Hewitt Jr.; heirs of 
Adah Carl, deceased; heirs of Abigail Wooster, deceased; to daughter Rachel 
Smith or to her heirs; to Catherine, granddaughter of said Zachariah and 
daughter of Zachariah Stevens Jr., deceased; heirs of Trial Hewitt, deceased.
