Arrowsmith The funeral of Mrs. Katie (Davis) Arrowsmith, widow of Joseph Arrowsmith, who was a victim of suffocation in a small fire in her bedroom Saturday afternoon in Pequot avenue, North Thompsonville, was conducted Monday afternoon at the Leete Funeral Home. Rev. Francis R. Beldon, recor of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, of which Mrs. Arrowsmith was a member, officiated. Bearers were Arthur Anderson, Chicopee; Ralph Davis, Hazardville, and Frank Reino, Conrad Kuhm, William Curry and William Walsh, Jr., all of Thompsonville. Burial was in the Thompsonville Cemetery. Mrs. Arrowsmith was born in Suffield, daughter of John and Mary Davis, but had lived here most of her life. Her husband died two years ago. She leaves two sons, John of Thompsonville and Edgar of West Springfield; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Anderson of Chicopee; one brother, Peter Davis of Hazardville; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Butman of Chicopee, and Miss Elizabeth Davis; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
