Asselin Gary E. Asselin, 40, of Bolton, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at his home. He was born Nov. 1, 1960, in Hartford, the son of Joseph and Adele (Brousseau) Asselin of New Port Richey, Fla. Gary had been employed for more than 15 years by ABA-PGT of Manchester. He was a member of Knights of Columbus San Jose Council 14 in Windham, and was a NASCAR and Harley-Davidson enthusiast. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter Raelene Asselin of Coventry, to whom he was very dedicated; three brothers, Edward and his wife, Georgia, of Manchester, Thomas of East Hartford, and Wayne and his wife, Cory, of Norwich; a niece, Bethany; a nephew, Brett; and his former wife, Cindy (Zera) Asselin of Coventry. There will be a gathering at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., Willimantic (Route 195, ½ mile south of Route 6), prior to the procession to his 11 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Mary Church, Valley St., Willimantic. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. His family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at the the funeral home.
