AUKSTOLIS



Frank J. Aukstolis, 69, of South Windsor, formerly of East Hartford, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2001, 

with his family by his side.

He was born in South Windsor, son of Martin and Margaret (Mulka) Aukstolis. He was employed at 

Republic Steel in East Hartford, until his retirement in 1994. 

He is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Aukstolis of South Windsor, and Debbie Salas of East 

Hartford; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lenny and Kristina Aukstolis of Vernon, and Steve and 

Claire Aukstolis of South Windsor; two brothers, Stanley Aukstolis of East Hartford and Joseph 

Aukstolis of Rocky Hill. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Robert and Michael Aukstolis, 

Christopher and Jessica Salas, Stephen Jackson, Joe Aukstolis, and Carrie Duchesne; and his 

great-grandchildren, Jose and Iliana Gomez, and Alisia Hernandez.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Callahan Funeral Home, 1602 

Main St., East Hartford. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, South Windsor.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 

538 Preston Ave., Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450-1004.
