Sir:

I have to advise you that from the papers in the Revolutionary War pension
claim S.43556 it appears that George Field, or Fields, enlisted in Woodbury,
Connecticut in August 1777, served as a private in Captain Stoddard's
Company, Colonel Chandler's Connecticut Regiment, was in the battles of
Fort Mifflin, Stony Point and the capture of Cornwallis and was discharged
in June 1783.

He was allowed pension on his application executed April 23, 1818 while a
resident of Sandgate, Bennington County, Vermont aged sixty-two years. In
1820 he was a resident of Sanderland, Vermont and stated that he was fifty-
nine [sic] years of age and referred to his wife Eunice aged fifty-three years,
and three children Clarissa aged sixteen years, Lovinia aged fourteen years,
and Mary Ann aged eleven years.

In 1837 he was a resident of Jackson, Washington County, New York.
