Alice was born March 10, 1917 in Torrington, CT to Thomas and Augustus Rosier Morgan. She was married to Philip Levoff in 1938. Lt. Colonel Levoff was a career Army officer which gave them the opportunity to live both in Europe and the US throughout his career. Baltimore, MD was their home base in the later years of his commission. In 1976, Alice and Philip moved to Raleigh. Alice was very active in her church both in Maryland and Raleigh. It was her devotion to her faith in God that brought her the greatest joy. Alice filled her days with church activities and enjoyed the many friendships she established there. She was the Director of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church altar guild for many years in Raleigh. She had a long history of actively volunteering in the wives auxiliary of American Legion Post #297 in Raleigh. While in Maryland, she was also active in the retired officer's wives organization and Soujourners. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Philip; her brother, Thomas Morgan and her sister, Winefred Morgan Spies. She is survived by her brother, George. Although Alice did not have children of her own, she is beloved and missed by her many nieces, nephews, and dear life-long friends. Funeral services are being arranged by McComas Funeral Home, 1317 Cokesbury Road, Abingdon, MD. The family will receive friends Friday, June 6, 2008, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens in Baltimore, MD.
