Elizabeth-Town gazette (Elizabeth-Town, N.J.) 1818-1821: September 29, 1818
June 12th, 1818, at sea, on his passage from Africa, the Rev. Samuel J. Mills, one
of the agents employed by the American Colonization Society. We understand
intelligence of this solemn providence has been received by his father, the Rev. Mr.
Mills, of Torringford, Conn., in a short letter from Mr. Burgess, his companion in
perils.
