It is always best to consult the original material for verification. ************************************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Tom Corcoran Corcoran33@msn.com March 30, 2006, 1:53 pm Saybrook Written: November 13, 1843 Recorded: March 26, 1844 - Know all men by these preseats that I Hervey Rogers of Saybrook in the County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut executor of the last Will and Testament of Ichabod Rogers late of Saybrook deceased by virtue of an order of Court of Probate for the district of Saybrook dated 30th Oct 1843 authorizing and directing me to sell at public residence all the real estate of the late Ichabod Rogers deceased with incidental charges; and in consideration of the sum of six dollars and fifty cents received to my full satisfaction of Sedley Snow of Saybrook in Middlesex County do grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Sedley Snow all the right title, interest, claim, and demand which the said Ichabod M. Rogers have at the time of his decease in and to a certain piece of meadowland lying near Mates Cove and bounded as follows is Northerly Easterly and Southerly on Job Southworths land and Westerly on the widow Achsah Shipmans land containing about one acre more or less. Said land being subject to the life Estate of Ichabod Rogers. To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises with the appurtenances thereof unto him the same Sedley Snow his heirs and assign to them and their own proper use and bought forever. And I the said Hervey Rogers as Executor aforesaid do hereby covenant with the said Sedley Snow his heirs and assign that I have full power and authority as Executor aforesaid to grant and convey the described premises in manner and form aforesaid and for myself and my heirs Executors and Administrators do further covenant to warrant and defend the same to him said the said Sedley Snow his claiming by from or under me as Executor aforesaid.
