Chatham (East Hampton)
Written: September 13, 1817

Sept. 13, 1817: Isaac Sears, Benjamin Sears, Ruth Bailey, her husband Joshua 
Bailey, & Rachel Bailey, heirs of Elkanah Sears of Chatham, deceased, to our 
brother, Willard Sears, executor of the will of said Elkanah, the power of 
attorney to sell the estate.  Benjamin and Isaac had 1/4 share each; Ruth and 
Rachel had 1/8 share each.  (Residence of grantors and grantees not given, but 
all signed in Chatham.)  (East Hampton Land Records 16: 514)
