The funeral of Mrs. Hervey Rogers was largely attended at the house of C.B. Rogers, 416 Colony street Tuesday. Rev. J. S. Breckenridge, officiated and spoke touchingly of the excellent qualities of the deceased; her mission in this world of a mother, as being well fulfilled, and the reward she would reap in the next world. Flowers were contributed in profusions. Among them were a handsome designed pillow with the word "mother" in the center, and a sheaf of wheat. Prof. Prescott, Mrs. Nugent, Miss Bushnell and a portion of the Methodist choir rendered a fine selection of music. The pall bearers were J.G. Griswold, A. L. Stevens, John D. Billard and E.C. Allen. The burial was private. File at -- http://files.usgwarchives.net/ct/newhaven/obits/r/rogers129gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ctfiles/ File size: 1.3 Kb
