Brown buwbrown@comcast.net March 9, 2009, 11:26 am Absalom Peters and Christopher Brown mutually agree that all the property in our possession excepting the two yearling heifers, and a few articles belonging to Lydia, the wife of said Brown, shall be considered the property of said Peters. All of which the said Brown hires of said Peters for one year and engages to pay fifty dollars rent for the farm - and the interest of the value of all the other property as it shall be estimated by Henry Otis or others who may be agreed on. Said Brown agrees to pay all the rates which may be assessed on the property, to keep all the things in good repair and in good plight, and for the consumable stuff, he is to return equal in weight, quantity and quality. And the said (Brown) agrees to board said Peters all that part of the year which he will reside in Lebanon, accomodate and wait on him as kindly, carefully and handsomely as he has done for three years last past,- for a sum per week which shall be deemed just and honorable by said Otis or others who may be agreed on by the parties. Articles hired for the interest of the value. a horse and waggon $90.00 a yoke of oxen 80.00 three cows 98.00 two swine 21.00 eleven yearling sheep 22.00 poultry 1.50 farming tools 25.50 household furniture 10.00 hay - one ton 10.00 corn - four bushels 4.67 oats - twenty bushels 10.00 potatoes - twenty bushels 10.00 beans garden vegetables flour & meal pork - one hundred pounds 12.00 hams - thirty pounds 5.10 beef - ten pounds .70 lard - six pounds .72 tallow - eight pounds .80 Hay per hundred @ .50 corn per bushel 1.17 oats pr bushel .50 potatoes per bushel .50 beans per bushel garden vegetables flour & meal pork per pound 12 hams per pound 17 beef per pound 7 N.B.- Said Brown is to fill in the account when he shall have ascertained the weights and measures, or shall have satisfied himself as to the quantity, weight and measure of the several articles as accurately as he would have done under oath.
