Lebanon, Selectmen's Records, 1837-1878:

Nov. 11, 1837: Windsor to Lebanon.  Colored girl named Lucretia Hardy is in 
our poor house.  (Lebanon denied that she was an inhabitant.)

Nov. 18,, 1837: Norwich to Lebanon.  Dorcas Watson, colored woman, on 
expense.  (Lebanon denied that she was an inhabitant.)

Mar. 1, 1838: Franklin to Lebanin.  Alpheus Cairy, a colored man, and his 
wife are on expense.

Apr. 29, 1838: Franklin to Lebanon.  Colored woman calling herself Way 
Briggs is very sick.
