To notify that we have employed (Mar. 3) two Germans named Frederick Pilgrim and William Goodhall, aged 27 and 21 respectively. Aug. 15, 1848: N.C. Saxton, Lebanon, to Selectmen of Lebanon. To notify you that I have in my employ a foreigner, a native of Ireland, late from Canada, named James Anderson; has been with me 8 days. Jan. 2, 1849: P.G. Thomas, Lebanon, to Selectmen of Lebanon. To notify you that there are 5 foreigners who sleep in my house nights and work for Mr. Post days: Johannes Klump; Jacob Bill; Christian Christ; Pelea Bush; Christian Miller. All are farmers. Nov. 2, 1849: Lebanon to Hebron. Philip Sawyer, a colored person supposed to be an inhabitant of your town, is on expense at Christopher Brown's in Exeter Society. Nov. 5, 1849: Hebron to Lebanon. Philip Sawyer never belonged to Hebron; he is not known in this town. Dec. 7, 1849: Hebron to Lebanon. Peter Watson, colored, died suddenly in this town on the 7th inst.; request funeral expenses. Dec. 8, 1849: E.L. Williams, Lebanon, to Selectmen of Lebanon. I have in my employ James & Ellen McGuiness, both natives of Ireland; came into my family Nov. 24, 1849.
