May 2, 1855: Norwich to Lebanon.  Lucretia Gardner, wife of the late 
Frederick Gardner, a person of color, is sick and on expense.

Feb. 6, 1856: Lebanon to Stonington.  Mary Potter, a colored woman, is on 
expense.
