Brown buwbrown@comcast.net January 31, 2009, 12:50 pm Daniel Worthington billed Town of Colchester: to the funeral expenses for William Brown, a foreign & transient person who died suddenly near my house, viz. - to the trouble of the corpse, jury, etc. at my house - digging a grave - a sheet - & coffin. Paid for a coffin ($2.00), paid Dr. Alpheus Rogers bill. Total: $13.25. We do hereby certify that the above named Wm. Brown was a transient person and was found dead in the Town of Colchester, near the line of Montville, and near the house of the aforesaid Daniel Worthington - and was a deserter from the British Army under the command of General Burgoyne after the year 1776.
