YOUNG, No. 1 Exchange Place, New Haven Know all men by these presents, That We Benjamin S. GODFREY and Walter ROSE, both of Norwich in the County of New London State of Connecticut are holden and stand firmly bound and obliged unto John HYDE Esq. Judge of the Court of Probate for the District of Norwich in the penal sum of One Hundred dollars ; to be paid to the said Judge, or to his certain Attorney or successor in said Office. To the which payment, well and truly to be made and done, we the said Obligors to bind ourselves, and each of us, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, and each and every of them, for and in the whole firmly by these presents, signed with our hands and sealed with our seals. Dated at Norwich the 1st day of September A. D. 1841. The Condition of this Obligation is such, that if the above bounden Benjamin GODFREY of all and singular the Goods, Chattels, Credits and Estate of Reuben GODFREY late of said Norwich deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods, Chattels, Credits and Estate of the deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said Administrator or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him, and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of the Court of Probate, at or before the first day of November next ensuing ; And the same Goods, Chattels, Credits and Estate, and all other the Goods, Chattels, Credits and Estate of the said deceased, at the time of his death, which at any time after shall come into the hands or possession of the said Administrator or into the hands of any other person or persons for him, do well and truly Administer according to Law. And furthermore, do make, or cause to be made, a true and just account of his Administration at or before the first day of September which will be A.D. 1842 ; And all the rest and residue of the said Goods, Chattels, Credits and Estate which shall be found remaining upon the said Administrators account; the same being first examined and allowed by the said Court of Probate; shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons respectively as the said Court of Probate by their decree or sentence, pursuant to the true intent and meaning of the Law, shall limit and appoint. And if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the said deceased, and the Executor or Executors therein named do exhibit the same in said Court, making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly, if the said administrator on being thereunto required, do render and deliver the said letters of Administration (approbation of such testament being first had and made) in the said Court; then this Obligation to be void and of none effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
