It is always best to consult the original material for verification. ************************************************************************ ***************************************************************************** ANDERSEN Marie Antonette (Vallario) DeMartino Andersen, 88, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 20, 2001, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Domonic and Lucia (Sforza) Vallario, she moved to North Port, Fla., 29 years ago and recently moved to Fort Lauderdale. She worked for many years at Colt's Manufacturing, Royal Typewriter, Noble and Westbrook, and was a cook in area restaurants. In Florida she worked as a home health aide, retiring when she was 70. She was the spirit and love of her family. She loved to play cards, cook, read, dance, and entertain family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves three daughters and a son-in-law, Theresa LaRosa of Fort Lauderdale, Lucille and Robert Davin of South Windsor, and Gail Donovan of Vernon; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Patrick, and Michael Davin, Gina and Darren DeMartino, and Todd and Kevin Donovan and their families; 13 great-grandchildren; her brother, Frank Sforza of Hampton; her sister, Theresa of Niantic; and many nieces and nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her son, Johnny DeMartino; two sisters, Jennie Pica and Angela Korecki; and two brothers, Danny and Willie Sforza. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 14, at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, South Windsor. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, South Windsor, has care of arrangements.
