It is always best to consult the original material for verification. ************************************************************************ Svea (Peterson) Carlson Berlin Svea (Peterson) Carlson Berlin, 89, of Manchester, widow of the late Rudolph Carlson, and the late Ernest Berlin, died Monday, April 16, 2001, at a local convalescent home. Born Jan. 6, 1912, in Sweden, daughter of the late August and Caroline (Anderson) Peterson, she had been a Manchester resident for most of her life. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Manchester and the Vasa Scandia Lodge. Mrs. Berlin is survived by six daughters and three sons and their spouses, Barbara and Mike Iacobucci of Florida, Bette and Bob Kelly of Bloomfield, Alyce and Jim McArdle of Manchester, Malvin and Donna Carlson of Oakdale, Pat and Paul Margelony of Vernon, Doris and Paul Rini of Florida, Joan Gimler of Milford, Kent and Alice Carlson of South Windsor, and Larry and Joann Carlson of Manchester; 51 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne Carlson, and two daughters, Shirley Riechenbach and Sylvia Stratton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 60 Church St., Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 E. Center St., Manchester.
