Burns, died Monday, April 23, 2001, at a local convalescent home. Born in Lawrence, Mass., daughter of the late Patrick F. and Mary (McDonough) Burns, she had lived in East Hartford for the past 49 years. She was employed by Top Notch Foods of Glastonbury for many years before retiring. Helen was a communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon B. Kelley of South Glastonbury; a sister, Elizabeth J. Kiernan of Methuen, Mass.; a sister-in-law, Margaret Jennings of Methuen; two grandsons, J. Patrick Kelley of Hoboken, N.J., and Thomas J. Kelley of Boston; two nieces, Janice Arseneault of Raymond, N.H., and Patricia Jennings of Haverhill, Mass.; a great-niece and great-nephew; and a close friend, Lillian Leighton of East Hartford. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at St. Christopher Church, 580 Brewer St., East Hartford. Burial will be at the convenience of her family in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Connecticut, 111 Founders Plaza, Suite 200, East Hartford, CT 06108. *********************************************** Copyright.
