(Cormier) Brahman Rita M. (Cormier) Brahman, 85, formerly of South Road, Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs. She was the widow of George A. Brahman. She was born in Somersville, daughter of the late Anthony A. and Ynonne (DeForge) Cormier, and had resided in the area all her life. She was formerly employed by the former Montgomery Ward of Windsor Locks, having retired after 20 years. She was an avid bingo player. Her family would like to extend many thanks to the special friends at Evergreen Health Care for the wonderful care given to Rita. Rita is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Howard E. Brahman of Enfield and George and Pat Brahman of Olympia, Wash. Rita also leaves her 10 beloved grandchildren, Debra Brahman, Christine Brahman, Shelly Lynch, Laura Brahman, Bobby Brahman, Heather Parish, Jeremiah Brahman, Josh Brahman, Aaron Brahman, and Ted Brahman; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Scavotto, and a brother, Norman Cormier, both of Enfield; several nieces and nephews, and a very close niece, Debra Carter. She was predeceased by four brothers, Alfred, Ernest, Herman, and Henry Cormier. Funeral services for Rita will be held on Tuesday, April 24, at 9:30 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield (Exit 48 off I-91, east on Route 220 for 1¼ miles), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Bernard Church, Enfield. Committal service will follow in Hazardville Cemetery. Rita's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
