John O. Bassett



John O. Bassett, retired head of the Keller Oil Co. in Enfield, died March 2 in 

Medical Center of Western Massachusetts at the age of 75.  He lived at 1 James St.

Mr. Bassett was born in Cadyville, N.Y. and moved to Enfield 25 years ago,

purchasing the Keller Oil Co. in 1950.  He retired in 1960.

He was a member of Doric Lodge 94 AF and AM.

Besides his widow, Mrs. Alice (Shepherd) Bassett, he leaves one brother, Wayne of

Cadyville, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Ryan of Saranac, N.Y. and Mrs. Valida 

Mattoon of Dannemora, N.Y.

The funeral was March 5 in St. Mary's Episcopal Church with burial in Springfield

Cemetery.
