(Coury) Beckstead, 68, of Pearl Street, Enfield, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, April 12, 2001, at home. Connie was the daughter of the late Amos and Elizabeth "Wobby" Coury. Born in Berlin, N.H., she had been an Enfield resident for the past 32 years. Connie graduated from Berlin High School and Leland Powers, Boston, and attended Indiana University. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Enfield. She is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Brenton B. Beckstead; her loving family including a son, Craig Beckstead of Enfield and his fiancee, Karen Govoni; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and Jeffrey Buchholz of Enfield and Melissa and Peter Picknelly of Longmeadow, Mass.; and her loving grandchildren, Brenton and William Buchholz, and Lauryn, Alyssa, and Peter Picknelly. Connie was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 14, at Browne Memorial Funeral Home, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield (Exit 48 off I-91, Route 220 east 1 1/4 miles.) Calling hours are also from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 16, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Patrick Church, Pearl and High streets, in the Thompsonville section of Enfield.
