Brackoneski John F. "Jack" Brackoneski, 81, of Agawam, Mass., entered into eternal peace on Monday, April 16, 2001, at Western Massachusetts Hospital, Westfield. Jack was born April 15, 1920, in Suffield, the son of the late Frank and Rose (Mrosz) Brackoneski. He was raised and educated in Suffield, a graduate of Suffield Academy, and resided in Suffield for many years. He also was a longtime resident of Southwick, Mass., and Agawam. Jack was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, enjoyed fishing on Congamond Lake, and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Suffield. He was formerly employed by Hatheway-Steane Corp. of Suffield for 27 years, and then with H.P. Hood Inc. of Agawam for 10 years until his retirement in 1979. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Alyce M. (Glowacki) Brackoneski; a son, Michael of Agawam; a daughter, Nancy Marinone of Enfield; a sister, Gene Diguette of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private with burial at the family's convenience. Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield, is handling arrangements.
