Obit: Eleanor (King) Blowen, Obituary, May 4, 2001 Source: Journal Inquirer Manchester,CT (issue May 7, 2001) Submitter: ABishop, May 2001 ***************************************************************************** BLOWEN Eleanor "Ellie" (King) Blowen, 83, of South Road, Enfield, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 4, 2001, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. Born in Enfield, she was a lifetime resident of the community. Ellie was a graduate of Enfield High School, Class of 1935, and a graduate of Asnuntuck Community College, Class of 1988. She was employed by the Somers Inn for many years before retiring and was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Ellie was an avid bingo player, card player, and loved the Boston Red Sox. Ellie is survived by a loving son, Michael Blowen and his wife, Diane White of Arlington, Mass.; a loving daughter, Patricia Fenton and her husband, Robert, of Staffordville; a loving grandson, Dylan Blowen of Arlington, Mass.; a brother, Andrew Keir of Agawam, Mass., and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 8, at 9:15 a.m. from the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Simon Road. Burial will be in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery. Ellie's family will receive relatives and friends at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, Monday, May 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations in Ellie's memory may be made to the Evergreen Healthcare Chapel Fund, Box 549, Stafford Springs, CT 06076-549, or to the McGuire Memorial Home, Mercer Drive, New Brighton, PA 15066. *********************************************** Copyright.
