She was the beloved wife of Rene Boissonnault and the daughter of the late Emilien and Marie (Dumont) Tanguay. Jeanne was born in Newport, Vt., on March 20, 1947. She resided in East Hartford for the past 29 years. She was a librarian for Hamilton Sundstrand for 12 years. Jeanne was an avid cook, and she enjoyed arts and crafts and time with family and friends. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Jay Fawcett of Mesa, Ariz.; a son, John Boissonnault of East Hartford; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and Marcel Piette and Simone and Martin Fitzgerald; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fernand and Clair Tanguay and Marcel and Nancy Tanguay; a sister-in-law, Theresa Tanguay, all of northern Vermont; many dear nieces, nephews, and friends; and her husband's family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Claude Tanguay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, at St. Rose Church, East Hartford. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at the Callahan Funeral Home, 1602 Main St., East Hartford.
