Botero, 43, of Naples, FL, formerly of Rhode Island, died of injuries sustained in a fall Thursday, February 27, 2003. Born in New Haven, daughter of Lois Guckin and the late Jack Guckin, Norma grew up in East Windsor and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Haven. She moved to Colombia, S.A., with her husband, living there for seven years. Upon returning to the United States, the family settled in Rhode Island. Norma was an executive, award-winning chef and private caterer to many Rhode Island locations. She is survived by her daughters, Nicole and Claudia, and her son, Michael. She also is survived by her mother, Lois; her brother, John of CT; her sister, Diane D'Amato of R.I.; aunts and an uncle; cousins; and special friends. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2003, at 2:30 p.m. at the Crown Plaza on Greenwich Ave. in Warwick, R.I.
