Charles Cole III

Charles "Munroe" Cole III, 62, of Tolland, husband of Maxine (Hurst) 
Cole, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at home.

He was born in South Weymouth, Mass., son of the late Charles and Ruth 
(Bailey) Cole, and was a longtime Tolland resident. Before his 
retirement, Mr. Cole was employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 31 
years.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, 
Michael and Helen Cole of Gainesville, Fla.; his daughter and 
son-in-law, Terry and Keith Hjarne of Stafford; his brother, 
Erwin Cole of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; his sister, Marcia Burney of 
Harpswell, Maine; his grandchildren, Charles, Michael, and Jessica; 
and his father-in-law, Wesley Hurst of Harpswell.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 
at United Congregational Church of Tolland.

There are no calling hours.

Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (Route 195), Tolland, 
has charge of arrangements 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Robin Hurst 
Special Needs Academic Fund, 1876 Harpswell Neck Road, Harpswell, ME 04079.
