Robert was the beloved son of Marion (Coltey) Veilleux. He was born in Hartford, and had lived in East Hartford for the past 25 years. Robert had very artistic capabilities and liked to work with his hands. He was the kind of person who had fun doing everything he did. Some of his favorite things to do were camping with friends, a particular love for working on cars, and spending time with his family. Robert is survived by his fiancée, Lori Upton; a son, Robert Hirom Coltey II of Colchester; a daughter, Bobbie-Jo Coltey of Manchester; six brothers and two sisters-in-law, Allen Coltey of Chicopee, Mass., Mark and Kathy Sherokow of Ellington, Roderick and Jessie Sherokow of East Windsor, Binky Sherokow and D.J. Sherokow, both of Chicopee, and Kelly Veilleux, also of Chicopee; two sisters, Della Sherokow of Chicopee and Theresa Sherokow of East Windsor; a grandmother, Della Dlugokinski of East Hartford; and many nieces and nephews. Robert's family will receive relatives and friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
