Francis, known affectionately as "Buddy," was born on May 8, 1918, in Somerville, Mass., to Francis J. Coyne Sr. and Annie Callahan Coyne. Buddy survived time in Okinawa during World War II fighting for his country and received the best reward, coming home to raise his family. Although a new resident to Austin, Buddy carried all the elements to be a Texan: love for one's country, family, and friends. He will be sorely missed by all who have met and knew him. Buddy and wife, Edythe, were married 60 years and he leaves his wife and four loving children, Judith Coyne Cataldo, Sandi Coyne Crowley, Lisa Jean Coyne of Massachusetts, and Stephen John Coyne of Austin; four sisters, Dorothy Coyne, Florence Arena, Bernice Langmack, and Helen Plant; and two brothers, John Coyne and Richard Coyne. He also is survived by eight beautiful grandchildren. A memorial Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Emanus Catholic Church, Lakeway, Texas. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, June 26, at All Faiths Funeral Home, Austin. Arrangements were made under the direction of All Faiths Funeral Service-South, Austin. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Vista Care Family Hospice, 8701 Shoal Creek Blvd., Austin, Texas 78757; these people are truly angels from God. ******************************************************************************************* USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
