She was born April 9, 1913, in Lac Megantic, Canada, the daughter of the late Joseph and Odila (Nadeau) Philippon. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Vernon. She is survived by two sons, Craig Cyr of Hebron and J. Kent Cyr of Milford, Mass.; a daughter, Sylvia Rittlinger of Windsor Locks; a brother, Fernand Philippon of Newington; three sisters, Elenora Renolds of California, Mariette Kennedy of Suffield, and Pierrette Bryant of East Hartford; six grandchildren, Joey Rittlinger, Susan Kondzior, Craig C. Cyr, Kristen Cyr, Amber Cyr, and Julie Cyr; a great-grandson, Michael Kondzior; and several nieces and nephews. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, at Sacred Heart Church, Vernon. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 31, at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, followed by the procession to the church.
