Cross, 51, of Enfield passed away Monday, April 7, 2003, at Riverside Healthcare in East Hartford. He was born in Waterville, Maine and lived most his life in Enfield. Russell was a bakery associate employed by Stop & Shop Supermarket's in Windsor. Russell's passion in life was his love for music and he was proud to play in his local band, Custer's Last Band. He was predeceased by his mother, Eva (Foster) Bourassa. He is survived by his father, Lewis Cross of Prescott, Ariz.; step-father, Guy Bourassa of Enfield; brother, Lewis and Mary Cross of East Longmeadow, Mass.; sister, Tammy and Tom Dugan of Enfield; brothers, Guy and Jill Bourassa of Enfield, Michael and Lisa Bourassa of Phoenix, Ariz. and Robert and Lorraine Bourassa of Enfield; thirteen nieces and nephews; and his special great-grand nephew, Xavier. He will also be missed by the loving and caring staff and friends at Kimberly Hall South in Windsor. The family also expresses a special thank you and appreciation to Nubby. A funeral procession will gather by 9:15 a.m., Thursday, April 10, 2003 at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield to Holy Family Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be held later at the convenience of the family. Calling hours for relatives and friends will be held from 7-9, Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at the funeral home.
