Dubek, 87, of Rockville/Vernon and formerly of Wells Country Village, widow of Raymond M. Dubek, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at a local health care center. Born in Rockville, the daughter of the late Carl and Emeline (Chadwick) Dubek, she lived there all of her life. Hilda had worked as a seamstress for Roose-velt Mills prior to her retirement many years ago. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Judy and Will Bigl of Coventry, Rae White of Vasselboro, Maine, and Diane Heim of Conyers, Ga.; her son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Laura Dubek of Chandler, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Myrtle Ludwig of Vernon; her devoted friend, Priscella Wetzler of Vernon; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Hazel Coan. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington. There are no calling hours. The Ladd-Turkington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
