TITLE: Helen "Nellie" Dietz, Obituary, March 28, 2001 SUBMITTERS: Journal Inquirer Manchester,CT (issue Apr 3, 2001) FORMATTED: ABishop, Apr 2001 ***************************************************************************** Helen "Nellie" Dietz Helen "Nellie" Dietz, 78, of Furnace Avenue, Stafford Springs, passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side on Wednesday, March 28, 2001. She was the widow of William F. Dietz, who died Dec. 30, 1970. Born in Stafford, she was the daughter of Frederick and Deborah (Mullins) Hine. She was a retired charge aide after 25 years of service at Mansfield State Training School. She was a member of St. Edward Parish and Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post 26 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Nellie is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, William and Winifred Dietz of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Roberta Dietz of Enfield, Robert and Rita Dietz of Lebanon, Michael Dietz, and Kevin and Doreen Dietz, all of Stafford Springs; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Kenneth Selby and Rebecca and Paul Litvinchyk, all of Stafford Springs; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, John Francis Hine of Florida; a sister, Dora Whitney of East Hartford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Dietz, and a grandson, Darrel Selby. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, April 2, at Introvigne Funeral Home, 51 E. Main St., Stafford Springs, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Edward Church, High Street, Stafford Springs. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at the funeral home.
