He was born in Springfield and lived in Enfield for the past 14 years. A graduate of the University of Hartford. He was employed as a customer engineer for IBM with 16 years of service. He was an Army vetern of the Korean War. He leaves his wife, Patricia (Holmes) Dion of Enfield; four sons, Richard C. Dion Jr., Mark A. Dion, John P. Dion, and James P. Dion; two daughters, Karen A. Dion and Patricia A. Dion, all at home; four brothers, Walter Dion, Lawrence Dion and Philip Dion all of Springfield and Francis Dion of Westfield, Mass.; five sisters, Mrs. Marion MacDonald of Chicopee Mass, Mrs. Agnes Cox, Mrs. Florence Carr, Mrs. Phyllis White and Mrs. Barbara Carr, all of Springfield. The funeral was June 2 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield. *********************************************** Copyright.
