TITLE: Jeanne Ann (Cyprus) Dionne, Obituary, April 2, 2003 SUBMITTERS: Journal Inquirer Manchester,CT (issue April 4, 2003) FORMATTED: ABishop, April 2003 ***************************************************************************** DIONNE Jeanne Ann (Cyprus) Dionne, 43, of Hartford, beloved wife of Jeffrey Dionne, left this world unexpectedly on Wednesday (April 2, 2003). The daughter of Edward W. and the late Jean A. (Ramus) Cypus of Windsor, she grew up in Windsor and, after her marriage, resided in Hartford most of her adult life. A talented, creative woman, Jeanne was an accomplished writer, artist, and embroiderer. For several years, she was employed by the Connecticut Historical Society's Education Department in Hartford where she was responsible for coordinating special events, especially The Spring Festival, and education programs to Connecticut schools. She had a passion for books and Native American culture as well as animals. A graduate of Windsor High School, Class of '77, she received that institution's highest academic award that year as well as numerous awards for her stories and artwork. In addition to her husband, Jeffrey Dionne, she leaves behind her father, Edward W. Cypus of Windsor; her sister, Linda, with whom she shared a special bond, and brother-in-law, Bernard Medura, of East Hartford; her sister, Janice and brother-in-law, Sebastian LaRosa, of Unionville; her aunt and uncle, Helen and Edward Kisluk of New Britain; two uncles, Joseph Ramus and his wife, Susan, of New Britain, and Stanley Cipkas and his wife, Betty, of Bloomfield; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nancy and Joseph Dionne of East Hartford; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Russell and Cathy Dionne of Newington, and a brother-in-law, Raymond Dionne of East Hartford; many cousins; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her beloved companion cats and many other animal friends. Those who knew her best will greatly miss her. The funeral will be held Monday, April 7, 9:15 a.m., from the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Gabriel's Church, Windsor. Entombment services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Mount St. Benedict Mausoleum. Her family will receive friends Sunday, April 6, 5-7 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home.
