Doyon, 38, of Newington, died Saturday, May 5, 2001, at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Maurice W. and Alice M. (Bennett) Doyon of Middletown and lived in Newington for more than 10 years. He graduated from South Catholic High School, Hartford, in 1981. He was employed as the LAN Center manager at Aetna Inc. and had a key role in network computing operations in Aetna's information technology department. Although he had no children, he was an active participant in the We Are the Children Foundation. He volunteered at the Barnard Brown School in Hartford and loved to celebrate the holiday seasons with the children. He enjoyed playing Santa Claus at the school during the Christmas season. He was a former Little League coach in Newington, a former EMT with the Rocky Hill Volunteer Ambulance, and a former Eucharistic minister at St. James Church, Rocky Hill. Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandfather, Harold Bennett of Manchester; a brother and sister-in-law, Daniel M. and Vanessa Doyon of Rocky Hill; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Diana D. and Daniel Barlow of Bristol, Suzanne M. and Thomas DeFrino of South Windsor, and Annette J. Keating of Newington; four nieces, Eva and Amy Barlow, Jeannette DeFrino, and Michelle Keating; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Newington. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. today, May 8, at the funeral home.
