Elsishans died Friday, May 25, 2001, in Middletown. A 50-year resident of Douglas Road, New Canaan, Mrs. Elsishans was the wife of Carl Elsishans, a lifelong resident of New Canaan until his death in 1984. Mrs. Elsishans was employed at the Union Trust Co. for 15 years. She was a Daughter of the American Revolution and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Elsishans is survived by all seven of her sons, David Fisher of Palmyra, Va., Walter Fisher of Jupiter, Fla., Richard Fisher of Orlando, Fla., Robert Fisher of Ellington, John Fisher of Middletown, Joe Fisher of Stafford, Va., and Carl Elsishans Jr. of Glastonbury; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan, followed immediately by interment at Lakeview Cemetery.
