It is always best to consult the original material for verification. ************************************************************************ ************************************************************************************************ ELLIOTT Nola (Fiske) Elliott, 62, of Manchester, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at an area convalescent home after a short illness. Born in Manchester Aug. 20, 1938, daughter of the late Robert Fiske and Matilda (Skolianik) Fiske of Florida, she was raised in Manchester, and resided in Columbia during the 1960s before returning to Manchester. She had been the vice president of Data Control Inc. of Stafford since 1985, had previously been a vice president of the dental group at the former Connecticut General Insurance Company for many years, and started her employment career as a school teacher in Hamden. Her passions were her grandchildren and playing the piano, and she was an avid reader. Besides her mother, Nola is survived by a son and daughter, Richard Marr of South Glastonbury and Catherine Batchelor of Manchester; five grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, and Justin Marr, and Jessica and Kathryn Batchelor; a great-grandson, Jacob Marr, and his mother, Shawna Greenfield. She also leaves her very dear friend whom she considered a daughter, Ame Koenigsberg of Columbia; and a first cousin and best friend, Jean Burnham of South Windsor. A funeral service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, June 21, at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be in East Cemetery, Manchester. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the funeral home.
