Foss, 80, of Rockville, daughter of the late Henry J. and Mabel (Morgan) Smith, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, in Rockville. Born in Hartford, March 9, 1921, she lived in Rockville since 1969 and was a homemaker. She is survived by her caregiver, Carol Champagne of Rockville; a cousin, Judy Lopes of South Windsor; and her grandchildren, Lisa and Mike Calabrese of Rockville, Kelley Champagne, Samantha Rafferty, and Sabrena Champagne, all of Rockville, Scott Champagne of Hyannis, Mass., and Daniel Champagne. She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Foss. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, with the Rev. Eveline Starbird officiating. Interment will be in Rose Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, April 11, at the funeral home.
