(Harper) Fordyce, 75, of Raffia Road, Enfield, beloved wife of the late Garland A. Fordyce (1996) died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford. Born in Long Island, N.Y., Gertrude was a resident of Enfield since 1959. She was employed by Phoenix Home Life Mutual Insurance Co., retiring in 1996. She was also a very active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Enfield, and she spent much of her free time gardening. Gertrude is survived by her two daughters, Ginger Fordyce of Enfield and Karen Click of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Ginny Stevens of Middletown; and one grandson, Jesse Click of Jacksonville. Gertrude's funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2001, at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Burial is private and will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. There are no calling hours. Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels is caring for the arrangements.
